Rachael Pereira B. Ost, MSc Paed Ost - Osteopathy
Rachael is a graduate of the British School of Osteopathy in London, where she also completed a postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy. In 2010 she completed a 2 year MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London, the leading clinic of its kind in the world, where she continues to work. This course involved working with a wide range of childhood problems, such as colic, birth trauma, asthma, learning difficulties and sleeping problems as well as orthopaedic conditions and sports related injuries. The course also included time spent working in neonatal units helping premature babies with their first few weeks adjusting to the outside world.
Rachael enjoys working with patients of all ages. As well as treating children, she has a special interest in posture related problems. She uses a highly integrated approach in treating patients from the classical form of Osteopathy that releases muscles and mobilizes joints, often producing an audible 'click', to Cranial Osteopathy, a method that works with the subtler mechanics of the body. Additionally, Visceral Osteopathy is a technique used to gently ease tension and improve function of the viscera of the body e.g. bladder, bowels, gall bladder, uterus, liver, stomach.
Rachael is a keen runner, enjoys the benefits of meditating and is a mother of two.
Rachael is registered with AXA PPP, HSA healthcare and the WPA.
